Villa Favorita
Villa Favorita, more precisely Royal Villa of the Favorita, is a historic residence in Ercolano. Built along the stretch of Corso Resina known as the Golden Mile, it is one of the most sumptuous Vesuvian villas of the 18th century. The intervention concerns the reunification of the entire complex: Lot 1 – Lower Park and buildings of the Lower Park (Casina dei Mosaici, Caffeaus, Lower Laundry, Farmhouses, Roller Coaster, Chapel, Carousel, Dressing Rooms); Lot 2 – Upper Park and buildings of the Upper Park (Cattle Shed, Carpentry, Laundry, Stove, Garçonnière, Kiosks, Arch, Pool); Lot 3 – Villa del Fuga. The project includes: the complete restoration, seismic improvement, and functional repurposing of Villa del Fuga, establishing new functions as an exhibition space and offices for the Superintendence of Architecture, Fine Arts and Landscape of Naples; the complete restoration, seismic improvement, and functional repurposing of the Cattle Shed, dedicating the building to the new headquarters of the Carabinieri Forest Command; the complete recovery and functional repurposing of the Upper Park, in order to create a new cultural attraction hub for the entire community of Ercolano and surrounding areas.
